Identifying the Source of Noise – A Professional Approach
To thoroughly address the issue, the project’s investor and main contractor commissioned DASM to perform an in-depth field investigation.
The mission: to identify the exact locations where noise originated and to measure the levels and characteristics of the sound emitted from the aluminum-glass doors and windows.

Advanced Acoustic Engineering and Scientific Testing Protocols
DASM‘s team of experienced acoustic engineers, with extensive expertise in building acoustics and acoustic solution executed the survey using methodologies in accordance with international and national standards, including:

The measurement locations were strategically selected at critical interfaces prone to acoustic leakage or structural resonance, such as:
- Glass-to-aluminum junctions
- Window corners
- Frame edges
Testing was conducted during two key time periods, from 07:30 to 11:00 and 17:00 to 22:00, in order to account for variations in temperature and environmental conditions that could influence noise behavior.

- Acoustic Camera: Visualizes the acoustic field in real-time, allowing precise identification of noise-emitting points down to the centimeter level.
- 64-Microphone Sound Board: A high-performance array used to scan and map 3D acoustic fields for accurate noise localization.
- Class 1 Sound Level Meter: Compliant with IEC 61672-1:2002, delivering reliable and precise SPL measurements.

Noise Source Localization Procedure DASM applied a systematic acoustic imaging process that involved:
- Dividing the window surface into a measurement grid.
- Scanning each node using beamforming algorithms to isolate sound sources.
- Integrating signals from multiple microphones to construct detailed acoustic maps.
- Assessing sound intensity and analyzing material responses such as vibrations, resonances, or deformations.
