– Note about testing conditions
+ To reduce the influence of the experimenter on the measurement results, the measuring equipment should be securely installed. The experimenter should be at least 1.5m away from the measuring equipment.
+ The measurement must provide information about the level of background noise, which is very important for the process of measuring the noise level of generator, motor.
– Be careful when measuring with a meter/microphone
+ The characteristic of sound intensity changing over time of the noise meter must be selected during the measurement process. If the change in weighted pressure level A is less than ± 1dB, the noise level can be considered stable. The average value of the maximum and minimum noise level monitored over a period of time shall be considered the measurement result.
+ If the noise level is unstable, the result must be rejected and the measurement process must be carried out with an integrated noise measuring device.
