Sound Absorption Test: Perforated Acoustic Wood Panel with Mineral Wool by Kien Truc AA

In May 2013, AA Architecture Construction Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) commissioned the Institute for Development & Application of Acoustic Materials to test the sound absorption (ASTM C423-17, EN ISO 11654:1997) of an 8 mm perforated acoustic wood panel with Rockwool Dragon mineral wool at a density of 80 kg/m³.

Sound absorption test of an 8 mm perforated acoustic wood panel with Rockwool Dragon mineral wool at a density of 80 kg/m³, sample size 3.6×2.4 m, carried out in the reverberation room of the Institute for Development & Application of Acoustic Materials using the test method: 

• ASTM C423-17 Standard test method for sound absorption and sound absorption coefficients by the reverberation room method. West Conshohocken, PA.
• EN ISO 11654:1997 Acoustics – Sound absorbers for use in buildings – Rating of sound absorption.
